Strikers

The Strikers teams are open to players of all skill levels who are currently of high school or junior high school age. The focus of the Strikers is to teach the fundamentals of water polo, work on skills and understand the importance of teamwork.

Striker teams will be divided based upon high school affiliation with the goal of fielding competitive teams for the 2007 Idaho High School Water Polo Championship tournament in November of 2007. Practices are on Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:30 at the West Y during league months. (Calendar) Contact strikers@ypolo.com for more info.

Mike Priest is coach of the High School Strikers Team. Mike has been playing Water Polo for over 11 years. He is a dedicated coach and father. He has 3 daughters who have been or are life guards for the Treasure Valley YMCA. His youngest daughter, Taylor, is a tough water polo competitor and will soon be swimming circles around her dad.
